Young foreigners traveling, living and studying in Beijing show great
interest in a convenient means of transportation, the electric bicycle.
Sold at a price of around 1,600 yuan (US$197), the bicycle's
performance/price ratio is better than that of common bicycles and urban
vehicles. In urban areas with heavy traffic, such bicycles usually travel
faster than taxies and buses with low expense, turning into the most
popular means of transportation for foreign tourists.
