Bohai Bank started operation

Lion dances are performed during the opening ceremony of the Bohai Bank
at the bank's headquarters in Tianjin, north China, Thursday, Feb. 16,
2006. Bohai Bank, the first new stockholding commercial bank approved by
the Chinese government since 1996, started operation Thursday. As the
first national commercial bank headquartered in Tianjin, the bank is also
the first of its kind that ushered in overseas strategic investors in the
preparatory stage.
