Asia's largest passenger railway station

(July 7th) 60,000-square-meter steel dome of Shanghai's South Railway
Station has taken shape with magnificence. This is the largest passenger
railway station in Asia. 278 meters in diameter, 42 meters in height and
over 7,000 tons in weight, the station is a round building constructed
with steel and of novel design. The ceiling project of the station is
going underway. It is anticipated that at the end of July installations
and constructions of the main station will be finished to make sure that
it can be available to users in next year's spring festival.
